Every one in sports has a coach. Most people in business, as well as in life, do not. What is a coach? A coach is a professional facilitator who knows how to listen to you so well, you eventually do too. We all know what to do and when to do it to reach our objectives and in a way that makes the achievement worth the effort. We plan, write, and plan some more and even get into action much of the time. Then why do so many of us fall short of our goals and even if we achieve them we are not satisfied, let alone happy?
We talk to ourselves with two minds: one is on our side, and the other is following a different plan that we set in motion earlier and then forgot we set it into motion. Sound familiar? Someone once said, "you always win your game, but what game are you playing?"
The professional coach is trained in listening, and in what is often referred to as wisdom, can actually hear the inner game you are playing, insightfully show you how to stop it gracefully, and advance the game you really want to play.
